Description
The OW124 Beak Chair, designed by Ole Wanscher in 1951 for Carl Hansen, exudes exclusivity and an unrivalled level of craftsmanship, illustrating his sculptural flair for delicate materials. This can be seen with the Beak Chair with its distinctive armrests which extend unsupported from the main frame, in one organic flow, and whose beak-like shape inspired the chair's name. Available in either oak or walnut in a number of finishes, further options including three different leather grades.
Finishes
Soap - The closest to raw wood; grain and structure are visible; light in colour
Oil - Grain and structure are visible; lighter than soap; creates lustre and brings out contrast in grain and structure. Darkens over time to a rich patina
Clear Lacquer- Grain & structure visible, darker than soap, glossy smooth finish which yellows over time.
White Oil - Same as oil with grain and structure visible with a light tinge.
