The CH07 Shell Chair from Carl Hansen & Son was designed by Hans J.Wegner in 1963. With its three legs this is a sculptural chair best placed where it can be viewed from all sides, on its own or in groups. Made in Denmark from form-pressed wood veneer ithe Shell Chair is finished in either oiled or white oiled oak, smoked oak or walnut. This is complemented with a seat and back upholstery in a range of Kvadrat fabrics or leathers. Sometimes called "The Smiling Chair", the three-legged construction provides absolute stability; the chair achieves a floating lightness due to its wing-like seat and the arching curves of its tapered legs. A real delicate beauty wherever it is placed.
Soap - The closest to raw wood; grain and structure are visible; light in colour
Oil - Grain and structure are visible; lighter than soap; creates lustre and brings out contrast in grain and structure. Darkens over time to a rich patina
White Oil - Same as oil with grain and structure visible with a light tinge.
