Description
The Carl Hansen E015 Embrace Lounge Chair was designed by Australian design trio EOOS for Carl Hansen & Son in 2016. Combining the designer's strong sense of aesthetics with Carl Hansen's tradition of hight quality craftsmanship, Embace is a chair which reinterprets the classic lounge chair into something which is so expressive, it can function as a stand-alone piece. Both precise yet relaxed, the chair frame is crafted from a range of woods and this remains visible from all angles. The soft cushion is folded into three dimensions - operating as seat, back and armrests in one. The upholstery embraces the structure, appearing to float inside the chair. Light and comfortable, Embrace comes in a multitude of fabrics and leathers. In addition the chair features an edging strip which can be selected from five colour options to co-ordinate or contrast with the upholstery selected.
Finishes
Soap - The closest to raw wood; grain and structure are visible; light in colour
Oil - Grain and structure are visible; lighter than soap; creates lustre and brings out contrast in grain and structure. Darkens over time to a rich patina
Clear Lacquer- Grain & structure visible, darker than soap, glossy smooth finish which yellows over time.
White Oil - Same as oil with grain and structure visible with a light tinge.
