Carl Hansen CH417 Tray Table
Completed by a folding brushed steel frame and a reversible round top, the Carl Hansen CH417 Tray Table was designed in 1970 by Hans J Wegner. Flip the tray top to change the look – a beautiful informal low side table or coffee table when you need it, and neat enough to store when you don’t.

Description
The Carl Hansen CH417 Tray Table, designed by Hans J Wegner for Carl Hansen in 1970, has been re-introduced into the collection. With a folding brushed steel frame it features a round top which is reversible. This top comes in three combinations - with all three options on one side is oiled oak whilst on the other is oiled walnut, white laminate or black laminate. This allows you to flip the top over to change the look - brilliant as an informal low table and handy when you need it, and neat enough to store when you don't. The tray can also be used separately.

Hans J Wegner
Danish designer Hans J. Wegner was born in Denmark in 1914. At the age of 17, he finished his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker with H. F. Stahlberg. He moved to Copenhagen and attended the School of Arts and Crafts from 1936 1938 before he began working as an architect. Among Danish designers Wegner is considered one of the most creative and productive - receiving practically every major recognition given to designers, including the Lunning prize and Swedens Prince Eugen medal. He worked extensively with Carl Hansen & Son throughout his career to create some of the most iconic designs in twentieth century furniture.
