The Carl Hansen Dream Chair was designed by Tadao Ando in 2013 as a tribute to the great chair designer Hans J. Wegner. With sweeping curves and an organic geometric shape the Dream Chair is a sculptural masterpiece.

Description
The Carl Hansen Dream Chair was designed by Tadao Ando for Carl Hansen in 2013 as a tribute to Hans J. Wegner. Sweeping curves, simple lines and its organic geometric shape culminate in a sculptural masterpiece. By using three-dimensional walnut bveneered plywood, Ando is able to create an expressive and striking form that successfully merges Japanese design traditions with modern Western expression.
The minimalist seating shell features an adjustable neck cushion upholstered in a choice of leathers of fabrics. It's coated with a protective layer to increase practicality and withstand stains and fading, wearing lightly over time adding to its appearance.
