Description

The Carl Hansen OW2000 Egyptian Stool was designed by Ole Wanscher for Carl Hansen in 1957. It was inspired by ancient Thebes, once the capital city of Ancient Egypt. Wanscher recreates the supreme elegance of this revered civilisation via a folding stool constructed of organic forms. The solid frame references characteristics which the Egyptians most favoured; sturdiness and strength - created for longevity.

A seat of saddle leather is suspended in-between two upturned wooden seat panels which can be selected from three natural hues; black, cognac and nature.

The base is available in a variety of finishes; soaped, oiled and while oiled oak as well as oiled mahogany. To select your preference first choose the desired leather colour and then state the frame finish below.

***FINISHES***
Oil - Grain and structure are visible; lighter than soap; creates lustre and brings out contrast in grain and structure. Darkens over time to a rich patina.
Soap- The closest to raw wood; grain and structure are visible; light in colour.
