The CH25 Lounge Chair is a slow slung classic chair designed by Hans J.Wegner in 1950 for Carl Hansen & Son. Made from solid oak or walnut the CH25's key characteristic is its rear leg detail which arches to form the seat base. This is in sharp contrast to the front leg detail which supports the armrests at right angles.
Exquisitely executed, the CH25 is vailable in various wood finishes with a seat and backrest created in woven papercord (available in unbleached/natural or black). This has a unique weave that uses more than 400 meters of cord and takes a skilled Carl Hansen weaver 8-10 hours to complete.
Soap - The closest to raw wood; grain and structure are visible; light in colour
Oil - Grain and structure are visible; lighter than soap; creates lustre and brings out contrast in grain and structure. Darkens over time to a rich patina
Black Lacquer- The structure is visible but the grain and other contrast are covered.
