The chair is available in two sizes - the original/ classic size as well as the new, slightly larger version.

Description
The Eames Lounge Chair - available here in Black Pigmented Walnut and upholstered in Nubia - is the epitome of a furniture design classic. Authentically crafted by Vitra under the Eames estate's license, this chair represents one of the most renowned original creations by Charles & Ray Eames. Designed in 1956, the chair was initially envisioned as a contemporary reimagining of the traditional club chair.
Achieving ultimate comfort ranked high among Charles & Ray's chief objectives during the lounge chair's development. Their pursuit of a soft, pleasant seating experience prompted them to explore various fabric and leather upholstery choices. After the chair's introduction in 1956, a fabric-upholstered edition was briefly offered, with only a limited quantity ever manufactured.
In 2023 Vitra relaunced the Eames Lounge Chair with a fabric cover. Nubia is a soft boucle textile with a lively appearance, which gives the furniture icon a warm, cosy look.

Charles & Ray Eames
American husband and wife design duo Charles and Ray Eames have had a profound influence on the visual character of American life, producing original work within the fields of architecture, furniture design, industrial design, manufacturing and the photographic arts.
The Eames’ first partnered with Vitra in 1957 to produce some of the most iconic pieces of furniture in the history of interior design. Today Vitra continues to reflect their philosophy on design and functionality, best understood through Charles’ own words: “Recognising the need is the primary condition for the design”.
