Description

This Eames Chair is the DAW Fiberglass Dining Chair from Vitra which features a wooden and metal leg base. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames as part of the plastic chair series DAW means 'dining height arm chair, wood base'. This iconic dining armchair has a moulded fiberglass shell in a variety of colours, with a black or dark maple or natural ash base. The fibreglass shell is instantly recognisable by it's irregular surface and visible fibres, creating a natural appeal. Every colour in this selection is carefully chosen to complement the others, so you can mix and match a variety of shades to suit your décor.

American husband and wife design duo Charles and Ray Eames have had a profound influence on the visual character of American life, producing original work within the fields of architecture, furniture design, industrial design, manufacturing and the photographic arts.

The Eames’ first partnered with Vitra in 1957 to produce some of the most iconic pieces of furniture in the history of interior design. Today Vitra continues to reflect their philosophy on design and functionality, best understood through Charles’ own words: “Recognising the need is the primary condition for the design”.
