Gubi Cobra Wall Light
The Gubi Cobra Wall Light was designed by Greta Magnusson Grossman in 1947. Reminiscent of the head of a cobra snake, the lamp has an animalistic quality. Cobra won the Good Design Award in 1950, and has since then been displayed in the Musuem of Modern Art, New York. It is available to buy in Jet Black and Matt White.

Description
The Cobra Wall Light was designed by Greta Magnusson Grossman for Gubi. It takes its name from the shape of the oval shade, reminiscent of the head of a Cobra. A solid brass arm joins the wall base and shade permitting the shade to be tilted 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal and 360º rotation.
The powder-coated steel base cover and shade is available in jet black or matt white. A bracket for mounting Cobra onto the wall is integrated in the base. It's available hard wired (for direct wall mounting where you have cable already in the wall ) or with a cable and plug
Cobra won the Good Design Award in 1950 and was subsequently exhibited at the Good Design Show at the Museum of Modern Art. The collection includes the Cobra Floor Lamp and Cobra Table Lamp.
