Description

The Flos Luminator Floor Lamp was originally Designer by brothers Achille & Pierre Giacomo Castiglioni in 1954. Here it has been given a makeover with a stem in glossy white. A simple tripod stand with a long galvanized stem on which the bulb is mounted this is architectural simnplicity at its purest.

Luminator is a simple idea which uses the ceiling of a room to provide light diffusion.

Achille Castiglioni (1918 - 2002) was an Italian architect and remains one of our most prolific designers of twentieth century iconic products such as the Arco Lamp, Taraxacum and Fucsia lights for Flos as well as many other lighting designs and numerous household items for Alessi. MoMA in New York features 14 of his works and he has received seven Compasso d'Oro awards.
