Description

Designed by Simon P. Henningsen for LYFA in 1962, the Divan Pendant Light is a sculptural work of art. Originally only available in stainless steel, the piece has been recreated in solid brass, so there's a finish option to suit most spaces.

This pendant is still hand assembled and the tiered shards create a beguiling light display. This playful piece reflects Hennignsen's interest in different qualities of light, a fascination picked up from his father, the legendary Danish architect and lighting designer, Poul Henningsen. Characterised by a distinctive whimsical and geometric aesthetic, the shimmering surfaces of the Divan Pendant perfectly represent the designer's influences.

The Devan Pendant was a commissioned design created for a restaurant in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen. The restaurant offered spectacular views over the garden lake, and at night, the pendant’s mirrored surfaces were designed to catch the light from the colorful exterior lighting.

The pendant provides a comfortable glare-free light while cascading indirect ribbons of light into the room.
