Description

The Big Bloom Suspension Light was designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Kartell. This is the extra-large version of the Elliptical Bloom Light and can be used together with these or alone to create an astounding lighting display.

Bloom is made from tiny polycarbonate flowers - as pure and precious as crystal but without the hefty price tag! The effect is a light which, although produced industrially, has the appearance and complexity of a hand crafted design. A series of tiny lights are located within the skeletal structure which beam light shafts through the petals to refract on the faceted surfaces of the petals and multiply a thousand reflections.

Suitable for any room Bloom comes in matt white or crystal.

Please note that some self-assembly is required as the fitting is supplied flat-packed to avoid delivery damage.

Ferruccio Laviani

Ferruccio Laviani is an Italian designer born in 1960. After completing a degree in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1986, he worked at the Studio De Lucchi where he undertook projects for a diverse range of well-respected brands including Abet Laminati, Memphis and Polaroid.

Since 1991, Laviani has worked closely with Kartell and now designs exclusively for them, alongside some other world renowned designers including Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola and Phillipe Starck. Some of his earliest designs he produced for Kartell such as the iconic Fly Pendant Light and the Bourgie Table Lamp are still best selling items worldwide, showing the timeless appeal and quality of this designer's work.
