Designed by Christian Dell in 1931, the Kaiser Idell 6556-T is an original Bauhaus creation that is now back in production. The swivel joint at the base of the stem makes the whole lamp tiltable, ensuring that light can be carefully controlled. The lamp is available in Black Matt, Black Gloss, and White Gloss.

Christian Dell was a German silversmith and designer. From 1922-25 he worked as a foreman of the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar. In 1926 Dell sketched lights, one of them being the table lamp model 6631 Luxus. This lamp soon became the undisputed top model of the Kaiser Idell" series and today is manufactured by Fritz Hansen. This lamp became the symbol of noble Germanic design with its exquisite choice of materials and precise engineering.
