Description
The iconic Gubi MR01 Initial Lounge Chair can now be taken outside. With its low-slung wooden frame and nautical rope seat and backrest, this Lounge Chair has begged to be taken outside since its creation.
Designed by Mathias Steen Rasmussen, the MR01 is crafted from solid, FCC-certified oiled oak. Durable enough for outdoor use, the oiled oak gives the piece a robust feel that emphasised the chair's strong, sculptural quality.
As with the indoor edition, the MR01 Initial Outdoor Lounge Chair’s frame is constructed without the use of screws. The natural linen rope used on the original has been updated to better suit outdoor environments. This version features a custom-made high-performance polyester rope that will withstand the test of time. This material is waterproof and UV-resistant, so it will never fade in the sun.
