A philosophy rooted in material and restraint
Zeitraum was founded with a clear idea: to create modern furniture from solid wood that is both technically advanced and visually restrained. The brand works almost exclusively with hardwoods such as oak, walnut, ash and maple, treating wood not as a decorative surface but as a structural material.
Designs are developed in collaboration with internationally recognised designers including Formstelle, David Chipperfield and KaschKasch. The resulting furniture is precise, quietly expressive and intentionally timeless.
Rather than following fast-moving trends, Zeitraum focuses on proportion, function and longevity. Many of its designs have remained in production for decades, refined subtly over time.
Sustainable furniture, responsibly made
Sustainability is central to Zeitraum’s manufacturing process. All furniture is produced in Germany using wood from sustainably managed forests. The brand avoids veneers, plastic laminates and unnecessary treatments, favouring natural oils and finishes that allow the wood to breathe and develop character with use.
Short supply chains, durable construction and repairable designs all contribute to furniture that is intended to be used for generations rather than replaced.
