Description
This Eames DCM Plywood Dining Chair if from the Plywood Group of chairs by Charles & Ray Eames which combine different base frames with plywood shells. From the original LCM Lounge Chair, with a chrome leg base, they developed the DCM - a dining height chair height chair of the same design.
Manufactured today by Vitra the DCM Chair (or 'Dining Chair Metal', to give it its full title) is available with either a natural, or black ash finish.

Charles & Ray Eames
Charles and Ray Eames were the husband-and-wife design team who helped shape modern design as we know it. Famous for their playful yet functional approach, the Eameses worked across architecture, furniture, industrial design and even film and photography — always with the belief that good design should improve everyday life.
Their collaboration with Vitra began in 1957 and has since produced some of the most iconic pieces in modern interiors, from the Eames Lounge Chair to the Eames Plastic Chair collection. As Charles Eames once put it, “Recognising the need is the primary condition for the design.”
Today, Vitra continues to honour and produce the Eames’ creations, ensuring their legacy lives on in homes, offices and public spaces around the world.
