Designed by Rowan & Erwan Bouroullec, the Magis Steelwood Shelving System is made from two contrasting materials: steel and wood. This modular shelving system is ideal for modern homes - store necessities like books and records, or create a room divide.

Description
The Magis Steelwood Shelving System, as its eponymous name suggests, is made from two contrasting materials : steel and wood. Designed by Rowan & Erwan Bouroullec for Magis the Steelwood Shelves have a frame in solid beech (natural, with white joints and shelves; black, with black joints and shelves or white, with white joints and shelves). The shelves are made from MDF. As with all Steelwood designs the juxtaposition of the two materials is accentuated with the visibility of the connection screws, reinforcing the design and construction honesty of the collection.
Crossing the boundaries between contemporary and classic Steelwood Shelves lend themselves to both styles of interiors, or a fusion of both. In modular form, they are available in various sizes to suit your room - from one module wide and two shelves high up to five modules wide and five modules high.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Born in Brittany in 1971 and 1976 respectively the Bouroullec brothers have become a much sough after double act, particularly after their work with Cappellini who recognised their talent at an early stage. Here we feature some of their most highly regarded works for Vitra, Kartell, Cappellini and Magis.
