Description
The lightweight Magis Chair One (it weighs 5kg) by Konstantin Grcic has a highly geometric and structural shape with a distinctive personality. The seat is made from die cast aluminium which has been treated with sputtered fluorinated titanium and painted in a polyester powder. With a range of options are available, this architectural beauty is suitable for outdoor use and will stack upto 8 chairs high.

Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich in 1965 and studied carpentry and cabinet-making at the Panham College in Dorset, before completing a masters degree at the Royal College of Art in London. He then spent some time working in Jasper Morrison's studio, before returning to Munich to set up on his own. His playfulness of materials and industrial design style has led him to collaborate with many highly regarded brands including Flos, Magis, Muji and Vitra. This design discipline can be seen in the May Day Light he developed for Flos and Hack Desk from Vitra.
