Description
The Ro Chair, designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen, is a wingback chair which envelops the sitter in a cocoon of sheer comfort. So called because "Ro" means tranquility, the brief was to design a chair which was not only comfortable, but extremely beautiful and relaxing also. The result is a slim and elegant silhouette which looks naturally at one with its surroundings, regardless of its location.
Ro Chair comes in a range of fabrics options. The 'Designer's Selections' combines two textures of fabrics chosen by Jaime Hayon in the same hue. The frame comes in one fabric and the seat pad, backrest and cushion in another, complementary fabric with a softer, finer weave. Alternatively Ro is available in a single fabric in a selection of Divina, Divina Melange and Hallingdal fabrics from Kvadrat or a range of leathers. The legs can be selected in either brushed aluminium or oak.

Jaime Hayon
Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon has shot to international acclaim through his use of designing with the intent of preserving and updating traditional objects through new forms of materials and technologies. His work is strongly characterized by his childhood passions, skateboard culture and graffiti art. Hayon set up his own design business in 2006 and has since collaborated with some of the word's most influential brands, including Fritz Hansen, Established and Sons, Moooi, Swarovski and his ongoing work as a creative consultant for the Spanish porcelain manufacturer Lladró. The Ro Chair and Favn Sofa are some of his most recent projects.
