Description
The Artek 153B Bench Seireeni celebrates a rare 2025 collaboration between two Finnish icons, Artek and Marimekko. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1945, the bench’s compact birchwood frame provides the canvas for Maija Isola’s Seireeni pattern.
Named after mythical sirens, the print’s flowing, wave-like forms are realised through delicate marquetry, creating a surface that feels both lyrical and modern.
Produced exclusively as a limited-edition release available only in 2025, this bench is more than a functional piece: it’s a collector’s item that unites Artek’s enduring modernism with Marimekko’s expressive artistry.
