Description
Originally designed by Alvar Aalto in 1945, the Artek Bench 153B is known for its lightweight form and timeless functionality. For 2025, this design has been reimagined in a limited-edition collaboration between Artek and Marimekko, featuring Maija Isola’s iconic Kivet pattern.
Inspired by the raw beauty of hand-cut stones, the bold circular forms of Kivet are rendered through refined marquetry on birch, creating a surface that feels both graphic and tactile.
Available only during 2025, the Bench 153B Kivet is both a practical piece of furniture and a striking collectible, uniting Artek’s modernist craftsmanship with Marimekko’s bold visual language.
