The Trienna Coffee Table for Artek, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936, is the simplest and most graceful tea trolley among the ones created by Aalto. The trolley was inspired by British tea culture and Japanese carpentry & architecture. 901 is an excellent side table for any home and perfect for serving tea, coffee and other refreshments.
Designer and colour specialist Hella Jongerius has created two new colour combinations for Artek’s classic Tea trolley 901: dark and light. The dark Tea trolley is dressed in two stylish hues: the lacquered birch frame and the bottom linoleum tray are black, and the wheels and the top linoleum tray aubergine. The light Tea trolley has eggshell coloured wheels and a frame made of natural birch. There is a pleasant contrast between the eggshell coloured top tray and the bright white bottom tray.
