Description
The Vitra Eames LTR (Low Table Rod Base) Occasional Table is one of the most recognisable mid-century modern tables ever created. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950, this compact side table reflects their belief that furniture should be both functional and beautiful in everyday life.
Its distinctive wire base provides visual lightness and stability, while the tabletop, available in solid wood, laminate or linoleum finishes, adds warmth and texture. Each material highlights Vitra’s craftsmanship, using responsibly sourced oak, walnut or high-pressure laminate for lasting durability.

Charles & Ray Eames
Charles and Ray Eames were the husband-and-wife design team who helped shape modern design as we know it. Famous for their playful yet functional approach, the Eameses worked across architecture, furniture, industrial design and even film and photography — always with the belief that good design should improve everyday life.
Their collaboration with Vitra began in 1957 and has since produced some of the most iconic pieces in modern interiors, from the Eames Lounge Chair to the Eames Plastic Chair collection. More than just beautiful objects, their designs embody a philosophy of practicality, comfort and timeless style. As Charles Eames once put it, “Recognising the need is the primary condition for the design.”
