Montana Panton Wire Top Panel - Single
Add further possibilities to your Montana Panton Wire system by adding on a Top Panel. Available in a choice of coloured lacquered MDF or marble, this panel sits on top of your single wire cube, creating a surface you can use as a shelf or table.
Choose a colour to match your Wire frame or opt for a contrasting colour for a bold, playful look.

Description
The Panton Wire Top Panel is part of the Montana Wire Storage system, designed by mid-century master Verner Panton in 1971. At its core, the Wire shelf is an industrialist wire box - a beautifully simple design. These 'boxes' are available in a range of colours and sizes, which can be freestanding or wall-mounted, and can be combined in endless configurations, offering a multitude of storage possibilities.
This Single Top Panel adds further flexibility to your Wire system and is designed to fit on the 34.8cm width 'single' Wire Shelf, where it acts as a shelf or tabletop. Take care to select the panel in the same depth as your chosen shelf.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was one of Denmark’s most influential and daring 20th-century designers, celebrated for his bold use of colour, innovative materials, and sculptural forms. Originally working for Arne Jacobsen he broke away from the traditional Scandinavian design language of natural woods and muted tones, embracing plastic, steel, and vibrant palettes to create designs that felt futuristic, playful, and unmistakably modern.
Best known for the Vitra Panton Chair, the world’s first moulded plastic chair made from a single piece, his work pushed the boundaries of what furniture and lighting could be. From striking pendant lamps to expressive modular seating systems, Panton’s creations are not only functional but also immersive, transforming interiors into environments full of personality and energy.
Throughout his career, he collaborated with leading brands such as Vitra producing pieces that remain icons of modern design. His lamps and furniture are now regarded as design classics, held in museum collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the V&A in London.
