Montana Panton Wire - Single, Half Height
Designed by mid-century master Verner Panton, the Montana Panton Wire Shelf System is a modular storage system based on a beautifully simple wire box frame. This half-height version is perfect for displaying items like ceramics or small books, or can be used to store shoes, bags and other accessories. Available in a choice of two depths.

Description
The Panton Wire Shelf from Montana is a classic 1971 design with an instantly recognisable, industrial aesthetic. At its core, the Wire shelf is a beautifully simple wire box. These 'boxes' are available in a range of colours and sizes, which can be freestanding or wall-mounted. They can be combined in endless configurations, offering a multitude of storage possibilities. Embracing raw elegance and industrial flair, this wire shelving solution offers versatility like no other.
This half-height version is 34.8cm wide ( the same as the standard single), but at just 17.2cm tall, it's perfect for storing smaller items. Customise yours with optional top panels or inlay shelves for a personalised feel.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was one of Denmark’s most influential and daring 20th-century designers, celebrated for his bold use of colour, innovative materials, and sculptural forms. Originally working for Arne Jacobsen he broke away from the traditional Scandinavian design language of natural woods and muted tones, embracing plastic, steel, and vibrant palettes to create designs that felt futuristic, playful, and unmistakably modern.
Best known for the Vitra Panton Chair, the world’s first moulded plastic chair made from a single piece, his work pushed the boundaries of what furniture and lighting could be. From striking pendant lamps to expressive modular seating systems, Panton’s creations are not only functional but also immersive, transforming interiors into environments full of personality and energy.
Throughout his career, he collaborated with leading brands such as Vitra producing pieces that remain icons of modern design. His lamps and furniture are now regarded as design classics, held in museum collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the V&A in London.
