Why you'll love this wall light
The AJ Wall lamp was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1960 and is one of many designs that has since gained icon status. The lamp is now part of a product family by Danish lighting brand Louis Poulsen.
The fixture emits downward directed light and the angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimise light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light.

Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen was born in Copenhagen in 1902 and graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in architecture in 1927. He was prolific both as an architect and as a designer. He is most famous for designing the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, and for the interior, the Egg and Swan Chair together with the Swan Sofa and Series 3300 with Fritz Hansen. This propelled the Arne Jacobsen name into furniture history.
