Michel Ducaroy was a pioneering French furniture designer best known for his innovative work with Ligne Roset, where he played a key role in shaping the brand’s modern identity.

Trained at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and born into a family of industrial designers, Ducaroy had a deep understanding of both form and function. He became known for pushing boundaries with new materials like foam and plastics. His most iconic creation, the Togo Sofa (1973), revolutionised seating design with its frameless structure and sculptural comfort.

Ducaroy's work embodies a unique blend of avant-garde thinking and everyday usability, securing his legacy as a visionary in 20th-century design.
