Description
Ligne Roset's Togo Fireside Chair is an icon of modern design with a laid-back yet sophisticated aesthetic. Celebrated for its distinctive silhouette and outstanding comfort, the Togo series has a unique frameless construction. Built out of layers of foam, it features three different densities of polyether and high-resilience polyurethane foam, which provide a soft yet supportive seating experience. The oversized, quilted covers are generously filled with polyester, enhancing comfort and adding a plush aesthetic.

Michel Ducaroy
Trained at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and born into a family of industrial designers, Ducaroy had a deep understanding of both form and function. He became known for pushing boundaries with new materials like foam and plastics. His most iconic creation, the Togo Sofa (1973), revolutionised seating design with its frameless structure and sculptural comfort.
Ducaroy's work embodies a unique blend of avant-garde thinking and everyday usability, securing his legacy as a visionary in 20th-century design.
