Description
The Knoll Saarinen Womb Chair is a 1946 design by Eero Saarinen and was designed at Florence Knoll's request for "a chair that was like a basket full of pillows, something I could really curl up in." Still manufactured by Knoll this groundbreaking chair is designed to facilitate a relaxed sitting posture providing emotional comfort and a sense of security - hence the name "Womb".
There are now two size options available; original and the new version, medium. Also included are cushions - please note some others may list the chair without cushions which comes at a cheaper price. An optional ottoman is also available.
The upholstered Womb Chair is available in a broad spectrum of colours from various Knoll fabrics. To complement the chair there is also a Knoll Womb Ottoman available, to complete the lounge look.
As with Knoll originals the Knoll logo is stamped into the structure of the chair, certifying its authenticity.
