Description
The Nakashima Straight Chair was designed by George Nakashima in 1948 and clearly Shaker influenced this gorgeous wooden dining chair from Knoll has been reintroduced into the Knoll Studio collection. Crafted from solid American Walnut with turned legs and stretches and contrasting spindles made from Hickory each Straight Chair is authenticated with George Nakashima's signature underneath the seat.
Nakashima is best known for his unique pieces of furniture, which are prized for their respect for the natural forms of the tree and the inherent grain of the wood.
Each Straight Chair has a low sheen finish and nylon glides mounted on the feet.
