An extension of HAY's best-selling Palissade outdoor furniture collection, the Palissade Cantilever Chair has an elegant, timeless aesthetic. The chair features a weatherproof powder-coated or hot-galvanised steel finish. Its cantilever base enhances comfort with a dynamic, spring-like feel.

The HAY Palissade Cantilever Chair is a garden chair from the best-selling Palissade collection. With an airy, elegant aesthetic, it features a floating frame with a subtle flex. Ideal for relaxing, dining, and socialising, the chair comes in a range of colours carefully selected to effortlessly integrate into natural landscapes or urban settings.
Designed by Ronan Bouroullec, Palissade is an extensive collection of outdoor furniture that includes dining chairs, lounge chairs, benches, tables and more. The collection is characterised by its slatted design and timeless appeal. Made from powder-coated or electro-galvanised steel, Palissade is strong without being bulky, light without being fragile. Designed to be left all year round, air and water will pass through, so it won't blow over or hold water.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are internationally acclaimed French designers whose work has shaped contemporary furniture and product design over the past two decades. Born in Quimper, Brittany, the brothers established their Paris-based design studio in 1999 and quickly gained recognition for their unique ability to blend simplicity, functionality and poetic form.
Their portfolio spans furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and architectural projects, with collaborations that include some of the world’s leading design brands such as Vitra, HAY, Artek, Magis, Alessi, , Flos and Kvadrat. The Bouroullec brothers’ designs are celebrated for their refined balance between everyday practicality and artistic expression, often exploring modular systems, organic forms and innovative uses of materials.
Throughout their career, they have received numerous international awards and their work is held in the permanent collections of major museums, including the Centre Pompidou, MoMA in New York and the Design Museum in London. Notable projects include the HAY Palissade Collection, Vitra Alcove Sofa, and Serif TV for Samsung, all of which embody their commitment to creating accessible, enduring design for modern life.
