The Grossman '62-Series' Desk, by Swedish designer and architect GretaM agnusson Grossman, was used to decorate many of the homes she designed. Reissued by Gubi, the 62-Series encompasses various furniture pieces characterised by quirky asymmetric lines and contrasting materials providing an overall lightness of form. Originally conceived in 1952, the series is named '62' as her designs were deemed to be 10 years ahead of their time.
Grossman's unusual pairings of materials and contrasting combination of sharp and rounded contours are visible through the rich American walnut ball-shaped feet, the powder coated slender metal legs and deep, black, protective full gloss finish on the cabinet door and desktop.
The cabinet contains two low and one high drawer made from American walnut perfectly sized to store office accessories and important documents within its beautifully crafted confines. The black painted edges of the desktop accentuate its classic and elegant structure.
