Konstantin Grcic’s Mayday goes outdoor. The all-weather Flos Mayday Outdoor Light version provides a softly diffused illumination to your outdoor space. Available in a selection of contemporary colourways that are perfect for the modern garden. Place your Mayday lamp on the floor or use the 6m cable to hang it over a hook, wall or branch.

Description
An outdoor version of the legendary Flos Mayday Light, the Mayday Outdoor Portable Lamp gives you the freedom to take your lighting anywhere. Designed by Konstantin Grcic, this all-weather version of the much-loved design has been engineered to obtain an IP65 protection. The sleek, minimal silhouette is defined by the curved hook/handle which houses the on/off switch and also acts as a cable winder. Mayday is crafted using recycled opaline which is injection-moulded to create the unique conical diffuser. As no glue is used in the assembly process, the light is easy to dismantle so that every part can be properly recycled.

Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich in 1965 and studied carpentry and cabinet-making at the Panham College in Dorset, before completing a masters degree at the Royal College of Art in London. He then spent some time working in Jasper Morrison's studio, before returning to Munich to set up on his own. His playfulness of materials and industrial design style has led him to collaborate with many highly regarded brands including Flos, Magis, Muji and Vitra. This design discipline can be seen in the May Day Light he developed for Flos and Hack Desk from Vitra.
