Ferm Living AW25: Neo-Romanticism for the Home
Ferm Living’s Autumn Winter 2025 collection looks backwards to move forwards. Rather than another exercise in pared-down minimalism, the Danish brand has taken cues from Victorian intimacy, Art Deco’s theatricality, and the expressive gestures of early modern craft. The result is an exploration of Neo-Romanticism - not as nostalgia, but as a quiet resistance to the rational restraint that has defined so much of contemporary design.

The collection is filled with contrasts. Polished metals and mirrored surfaces introduce a play with light and perception, while reeded and rippled glass pieces veil and reveal in equal measure. Burl wood anchors the story, its swirling grain bringing a sense of warmth, irregularity, and depth. A bespoke floral motif runs throughout, reinterpreting historical patterns into something subtle and contemporary.

Standout pieces include the Burl Storage Coffee Table, its square form concealing a drawer beneath rich, patterned veneer; the Rico Sofa, updated with an Italian jacquard woven in an abstract floral; and the Arum Portable Lamp, which takes on a reflective stainless steel finish that feels both futuristic and decorative. Elsewhere, smaller objects carry the same narrative - mirror-polished stainless steel Tessera Vases, swirling resin Mist Trays, and softly rounded Ripple Tumbler Glasses that extend the brand’s much-loved glassware series.
Among the larger furniture, the new Feve Table builds on Ferm Living’s organic walnut line with a more generous, multifunctional format, while the Lager Wall Shelf offers brushed aluminium storage with a modular logic. Even here, the emphasis is on character over anonymity—pieces that bring presence to a space rather than disappearing into it.

It’s a collection that feels more about mood than style. Dark-stained wood, muted reds, and reflective surfaces create interiors that are at once familiar and slightly uncanny. Objects are designed not just to function but to invite a moment of reflection, curiosity, or even drama. In that sense, Ferm Living’s AW25 is less about furniture as utility and more about furniture as atmosphere.
The full Ferm Living collection is available now both online and in-store at Utility.
