The Vitra Tabouret 307 Stool is a re-edition of an original 1951 design by Jean Prouve. It comes with a solid dark oak seat and deep black legs or natural oak with 'Prouve Blanc Columbe (Ecru) legs.

Description
The Vitra Tabouret 307 Stool is one of a series of stools designer Jean Prouve created in the 1950s which he named with different numbers. The 307 was designed in the shape of a traditional tractor seat (less the holes), originally in aluminium. It's reminiscent of the seats he designed in the lecture theatre at the Aux-Marseille University but this re-release (launched in 2022) has been crafted in solid oak. With its ergonomic seat and contrasting tubular steel legs this makes for a beautiful contrast of materials. It comes with a seat in natural oiled oak or dark stained oak with a protective lacquer finish with Ecru or deep black legs

Jean Prouve
Jean Prouvé is regarded as one of the most influential furniture designers of the early modern design movement. Specialising in the use of steel and aluminium in his designs, he is said to have considered himself more as an engineer than a modern designer. Prouvé was a pioneer of his time concentrating purely on efficiency and the materials being used rather than just the aesthetic appeal of products. His iconic Trapeze Dining Table, manufactured by Vitra is one of his many timeless designs with its alluring appeal and versatility - flexible to apply to any design style.
