The Vitra Mynt Chair by Erwan Bouroullec introduces a new way of sitting. Defying conventional categorisations of office and home chairs it keeps the body in balance through movement of the seat base, thanks to its patented mechanism. This prompts the user to perform a range of smaller movements through dynamic sitting - shown to have a positive impact on physical health and well-being. This version comes fully upholstered with a four-star aluminium base.

Description
The Vitra Mynt Chair by Erwan Bouroullec introduces a new way of sitting. Defying conventional categorisations it combines the home-like appeal and unassuming aesthetic of a universal chair with the ergonomics of a dynamic office chair - thus bringing a new way of dynamic sitting to the user. With a patented mechanism through movement of the seat base, it keeps the body in balance, prompting the user to perform a range of smaller movements through dynamic sitting - shown to have a positive impact on physical health and well-being.
This four-star base version comes fully upholstered with a choice of base colours. The seat and back are upholstered in 'Cosy', a milled, plain weave woollen cloth of high quality with a natural, Nordic inspired character. The subtly varying colours produce a refined visual effect. Visible fibres enhance its natural appearance. Cosy facilitates optimum heat exchange, providing pleasant thermal conditions for the sitter. For more information see the Vitra Fabric Page.
This innovative design is made up of 80% recycled materials. What's more, 99% of it can be recycled at the end of its life.
