The &Tradition SHY4 Journey Floor Lamp, designed by Signe Hytte, is a quietly expressive piece of contemporary lighting that blends geometric clarity with a warm, atmospheric glow. The design centres on a mouth-blown opal glass sphere that diffuses light softly, balanced on a slim steel base that grounds the piece with understated elegance.
Hytte’s concept for the Journey collection draws on a simple yet poetic visual reference: the moon rising above the horizon. The spherical shade represents the moon, while the linear base acts as the horizon line, creating a composition that feels both graphic and serene.
As a floor lamp, the SHY4 Journey introduces height and presence while maintaining the minimal character that defines the collection. It works equally well beside a sofa, next to a reading chair or in a bedroom corner, where the diffused light creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
