Romain Sillon
Romain Sillon (b. 1994, Lyon) is a Paris-based product designer and trained cabinetmaker. Educated at ECAL (Switzerland, 2017) with further studies at Politecnico di Milano, he brings together precision, poetic movement, and workshop finesse. After formative roles at BIG-GAME, Sylvain Willenz, RF Studio, and Perron & Frères, he launched his own studio, where he casts a keen eye on mechanics and kinetic elegance.
His debut for HAY, the Twist Floor Lamp (2025), is a sculptural, height-adjustable uplight that transforms from 115 cm to 2 m in a single, elegant gesture - an interplay of form, function, and atmosphere.
Beyond commercial collaboration, Romain creates sculptural furniture and objects -benches like AV01–AV03, lamps such as Arc and Manivelle, and playful experiments like Vase-miroir and Tige. In 2025, he expanded his repertoire through a residency at Domaine de Keravel. Across all his work, the delicate poetry of movement and the integrity of craftsmanship remain central.
