Poul Cadovius (1911- 2011) is most famously known for his iconic shelving systems including the Royal System Shelving. Originally educated in upholstery, Cadovius became interested in design early on, going on to establish his own furniture company Royal System in 1945. He continued to create groundbreaking wall-mounted shelving concepts and solidified himself as one of the most successful and colourful designers in the history of Danish furniture design.
