The Rar 3 Seater Sofa from Normann Copenhagen features a soft, comfortable seat with an uncomplicated expression. With its name taken from the Danish word pleasant, the Rar speaks a humble design language that seamlessly integrates into any space, available in two different textiles and one leather option.

Description
Designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen, the Rar Sofa Collection comprises of easy-to-like silhouettes and impeccable comfort. Crafted with the intention to highlight minimalistic lines and with attention to the smallest of details, this uncomplicated series will be sure to blend seamlessly into any interior. Rar takes its name from the Danish word for pleasant and is beautifully characterised by the meeting point between the armrests and the backrest makes an interesting detail, as the armrests elegantly frame the flat surface of the backrest. Available in two different textiles and one leather option.

Simon Legald
Simon Legald is a graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and designs both small and large-scale products. Simon’s designs marry together craftsmanship and industry; he also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
Simon has designed some real classics in contemporary Scandinavian design including the block table, amp lamp and the furniture range, 'Form'. The Form range was, in fact, Legald’s dissertation project and after three years of development, it was taken into production by Normann Copenhagen. For Legald, people need to understand his designs and their functions. He keeps his plans simple and straightforward, displaying the technicalities instead of hiding them. “I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression.”
