The Normann Copenhagen Porta Table Lamp is a demure portable table lamp designed for in or outdoor use. It comes with LED incorporated in three muted colours, providing diffused light from below its domed surface.

Description
The Porta Table Lamp from Normann Copenhagen is - as its name suggests - a portable table lamp designed for use inside and out. It's characterized by its rounded, organic design curves; a cylinder base and elongated dome shade contribute to its aesthetic cohesiveness. The distinctive shade is designed to accommodate the need for pleasant, atmospheric lighting in smaller settings offering a diffused light from below. When it's turned at a 90-degree angle the lamp shade takes up less space - allowing it to easily fit into a compact spaces such as a windowsills, shelf or outdoor table.
Porta’s flexibility is emphasized by its mobility. The cordless and lightweight design enables you to transport the lamp from room to room, indoors to out. A touch-sensitive dimmer allows for three different light settings depending on the desired mood, while a discreet mini USB charging port ensures easy charging.
Porta will provide a cozy light in any setting and fits seamlessly into cany space. It comes in several soft monochrome tones.

Simon Legald
Simon Legald is a graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and designs both small and large-scale products. Simon’s designs marry together craftsmanship and industry; he also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
Simon has designed some real classics in contemporary Scandinavian design including the block table, amp lamp and the furniture range, 'Form'. The Form range was, in fact, Legald’s dissertation project and after three years of development, it was taken into production by Normann Copenhagen. For Legald, people need to understand his designs and their functions. He keeps his plans simple and straightforward, displaying the technicalities instead of hiding them. “I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression.”
