The Kabino Bedside Table is a simple and versatile piece of storage furniture that features one matt lacquered aluminium drawer. The drawer's signature open handle gives it an integrated expression while the ash frame softens and adds warmth to the overall design. This beautifully minimal bedside cabinet also features a 'soft close' function which allows the drawer to close silently.

Description

”I like to work in the cross field between craftsmanship and industry. When you buy a modern sideboard/table it is often designed with pure craftsmanship or total industry in mind. With Kabino I have explored manufacturing methods and various combinations of material in order to give Kabino a little of both.” - Simon Legald

Construction: The Kabino sideboard comes flat packed and is assembled using the included manual and tools. Kabino is made of painted MDF with an ash frame mounted to its front. Two-drawer is made of matt lacquered aluminium.

Cleaning Instructions: Clean with a damp cloth.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald is a graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and designs both small and large-scale products. Simon’s designs marry together craftsmanship and industry; he also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.

Simon has designed some real classics in contemporary Scandinavian design including the block table, amp lamp and the furniture range, 'Form'. The Form range was, in fact, Legald’s dissertation project and after three years of development, it was taken into production by Normann Copenhagen. For Legald, people need to understand his designs and their functions. He keeps his plans simple and straightforward, displaying the technicalities instead of hiding them. “I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression.”
