The PH 1/1 is the smallest lamp in Louis Poulsen's System PH family, scaling down Poul Henningsen's century-old glare-free shade design to a cordless, take-anywhere size.

Description
The Louis Poulsen PH 1/1 Portable Lamp is the smallest size yet in the System PH range, built on the three-shade structure Poul Henningsen invented in 1926 to eliminate glare at the source. Henningsen designed each shade to redirect light rather than let it spill directly into the eye, and the PH 1/1 carries that same logic into a compact, cordless table lamp suited to a desk, a side table, or a spot with no socket nearby.
The shades are mouth-blown, three-layer white opal glass, finished in either brass-metallised PVD or high-lustre chrome to match the stem and base. At 29.1cm tall with a 16cm shade diameter and 11.7cm base, it is sized to sit comfortably on smaller surfaces without losing the proportions of the original PH design.
Light comes from an integrated 2.5W LED rated at 200 lumens, with dim-to-warm technology that shifts colour temperature from 1,800K to 2,700K as it dims — so the light warms rather than simply dulls. A touch dimmer switches between four-step (5%, 20%, 45%, 100%) or stepless dimming, with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. The LED kit is replaceable by a qualified person, which extends the lamp's working life well beyond a typical sealed unit.
Power comes from a 3.85V lithium polymer battery, giving five hours of runtime at full brightness and roughly five hours to recharge fully via USB-C. The 150cm USB-C to USB-C cable is included, though the charging adapter is sold separately — a 5V/2A or 5V/3A adapter (minimum 1.5A) is recommended. An IP44 rating means it can go outside in dry conditions or under shelter, making it as suited to a covered terrace as it is to a windowsill.
