Description
The Knoll MR Table represents one of the earliest steel furniture designs by Mies van der Rohe and like the rest of his MR Collection, displays an awareness of proportion, detailing and craftsmanship, and a richness and integrity of materials.
Authenticity
As with all our Knoll products, the MR Table the KnollStudio logo and the designers signature.

Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is regarded as one of the 20th Century's greatest architects and was the last director of the Bauhaus, before its closure in 1933. Born in 1886 in Aachen Germany, Mies spent most of his early career in Germany where he soon gained recognition following an independent commission and a number of residential projects. One of his most famous buildings, the minimalist beauty Barcelona Pavilion, was designed as the German Pavilion for the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona. As for the interior, Mies created the iconic Barcelona Chair for Knoll which was also used as a throne for King Alfonso XIII at the exhibition's opening ceremony.
