Designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec wanted to create something that could accommodate and easily adapt to modern lifestyle requirements. 1022 has six large wire racks that are perfect for storing shoes or folded clothes, ample rail hanging space and open shelving, making it an excellent clothes organiser. Though highly functional as a stand-alone piece, the unit can be easily combined with other systems from the Pier range to create a larger system. Available in a series of colourways and finishes.
Constructed from lightweight aluminium and steel using the minimum of components, elements can be moved around and added to as needed as your requirements change. Incorporate work, wardrobe, display or organisational functions for any environment.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are internationally acclaimed French designers whose work has shaped contemporary furniture and product design over the past two decades. Born in Quimper, Brittany, the brothers established their Paris-based design studio in 1999 and quickly gained recognition for their unique ability to blend simplicity, functionality and poetic form.
Their portfolio spans furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and architectural projects, with collaborations that include some of the world’s leading design brands such as Vitra, HAY, Artek, Magis, Alessi, , Flos and Kvadrat. The Bouroullec brothers’ designs are celebrated for their refined balance between everyday practicality and artistic expression, often exploring modular systems, organic forms and innovative uses of materials.
