The Pier Shelving System 1012 - 2 Column by HAY was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to accommodate the demands of a modern lifestyle. Crafted from aluminium and steel, this unit is lightweight but durable. With ample hanging space, open shelving and four wire racks, 1012 makes an excellent clothing storage system and sits ideally in a bedroom or hallway. Large enough to be effective as a standalone piece, it can also be easily combined with other pieces from the Pier range to create a larger system. Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Born in Brittany in 1971 and 1976 respectively the Bouroullec brothers have become a much sough after double act, particularly after their work with Cappellini who recognised their talent at an early stage. Here we feature some of their most highly regarded works for Vitra, Kartell, Cappellini and Magis.
