Hay Living Room

The living room is often our most used room in the house, and it's important that it feels comfortable. For us, there are two key ingredients in making this room homely and inviting - the sofa, and lighting.

Let's start with the Hay Mags Soft Sofa. The model pictured here is the 2.5 seater combination 3, which features a large chaise lounge, perfect for putting your feet up after a long day. A voluminous couch with a soft, minimal appearance, this sofa is a great base for any living room.

Next - the lighting. We like to start with the mood lighting, and for this room, we're going with the Hay Matin LED Lamp. It produces a soft, warm, atmospheric glow and looks beautiful on a side table, bookcase or shelf. Then, to offer us some task lighting, for cosying up with a book, we're adding the Hay Marselis Floor Lamp. This unassuming, minimal lamp has an adjustable head - perfect for such a task.

With the sofa and lighting out of the way, all that is left are the finishing touches. A side table for a vase of flowers, and a coffee table will finish off the look. It's not pictured here, but we'd also choose to add a rug - like this Hay Peas Rug, just for some extra cosiness.
