The J41 Chair from Hay is a classic dining chair that originated in the 1960s. Børge Mogensen was lead designer at the Danish FDB who's aim was to create furniture that brought good design to a wider audience at an affordable price. Available in a range of oak wood finishes. Why you'll love this classic dining chair
The J41 chair from Hay is a reproduction of a classic furniture design from the 1960s. The original designer Børge Mogensen, was lead designer at FDB(Fællesforeningen for Danmarks Brugsforeninger) which was a Danish Consumers Co-operative. Mogensen led a program to renew Danish furniture culture and create modern, functional and useful furniture that would be affordable for all social classes. From this a range of chairs and tables were born.
The J41 chair features a slightly slanted backrest and spacious spindles that give the design a simple and timeless design. Available in a range of oiled, matt or Water-based Lacquered Oakfinishes to suit your style.
