Description
Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec as part of the Balcony series created for HAY, the Balcony Armchair features a striking, modern design. Made in powder-coated steel with an outdoor primer for optimal resilience and durability, the chair features a pattern of holes over the surface of the seat and base that adds strength and creates a unique aesthetic. Armrests provide extra comfort, whilst the stackable design means this chair is suited to a wide range of spaces, from large gardens to small balconies.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are internationally acclaimed French designers whose work has shaped contemporary furniture and product design over the past two decades. Born in Quimper, Brittany, the brothers established their Paris-based design studio in 1999 and quickly gained recognition for their unique ability to blend simplicity, functionality and poetic form.
Their portfolio spans furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and architectural projects, with collaborations that include some of the world’s leading design brands such as Vitra, HAY, Artek, Magis, Alessi, , Flos and Kvadrat. The Bouroullec brothers’ designs are celebrated for their refined balance between everyday practicality and artistic expression, often exploring modular systems, organic forms and innovative uses of materials.
Throughout their career, they have received numerous international awards and their work is held in the permanent collections of major museums, including the Centre Pompidou, MoMA in New York and the Design Museum in London. Notable projects include the HAY Palissade Collection, Vitra Alcove Sofa, and Serif TV for Samsung, all of which embody their commitment to creating accessible, enduring design for modern life.
